I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Registered Play Therapist (RPT). I have advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), as well as a Certification in Trauma from the International Association of Trauma Professionals. In addition, I am a Virginia-Approved Supervisor for LPC and RPT trainees.
I received my undergraduate degree from The University of Michigan and my Master's Degree from The George Washington University.
Services
Individual Therapy
I approach therapy from a collaborative and experiential perspective. I want to know about your strengths and challenges, your history, and your dreams.
I work with individuals and families experiencing struggles with relationships, life transitions, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, parenting, separation/divorce (children), anger, and gender issues. I have specialization in working with families with special needs, including helping families navigate the IEP process and coordinate with other care providers.
Play Therapy
I have a specialization in child centered play therapy, a proven approach to working with children ages 3 through 12. Using this collaborative treatment approach, I work directly with the child as well as with parents or
other caregivers, school personnel, and other stakeholders.
Supervision
I offer both individual and group supervision for LPC/MFT Residents, as well as for professionals seeking the RPT designation.
Payment and Fees
Individual and family sessions are $190 - $200. Initial intake sessions are $240. I accept a limited number of insurance plans as well as private pay. I provide all necessary documentation so you can file for reimbursement directly from your plan, I also accept credit cards from FSA/HSA plans.
Individual supervision is $100/50 minutes; groups for are $75/90 minutes.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
